You can order my products though my email address which is madjon51@aol.com.

Cook grits according to box directions and add to that 1/2 stick of butter, 1 cup Parmesan Cheese, & 1 cup Italian Cheese.  Salt & pepper to taste. 1/2 to 1 cup cream or milk.  1 tsp Garlic powder thrown into the mix.  Now time to cook the shrimp. melt the butter in a pan and add the garlic.  Add the shrimp and cook until pink in color.  Now add the jar of pasta gravy to the shrimp and simmer for about 10 minutes.  Serve pasta gravy over the grits.  You may top with cooked bacon or length sausage.

Nothing Better then Fresh Tomato Bacon Sandwiches For Summer

Hello to all my foodie friends its MadJon again coming out this summer with a easy tasty Tomato Sandwich.  As you know we do grow our own vegetables each summer here in South Carolina.  I made these sandwiches for lunch today and they were very tasty indeed.  there is nothing better then home grown fresh tomatoes to add to your summer pleasure for meal time.  This is also the time of year that we yturn our bounty into canned goods to serve year round.  They are so tasty.  Today I made fresh Me Me's Pasta Gravy but that was done at the grill.  Then I came home to make some sweet and sour pickles made with cloves and mustard seeds.  Onions and other spices.  Can't wait to dig into them.  We have also packed away some dill spears to eat, yum yum.  We also have a few Green Beans growing out there so I like canning the green beans but then you have to worry about shelf space for the year.  So this year I will freeze them.  My hubby's favorite vegetable is tomatoes and green beans.  I like them all.  I do use cinnamon  a lot when am canning pickles or jalapenos with onions and carrots,oh my.  Any who I don't know if you all garden out there in web land but if you do I think you should always add some good old Chicken poop to your dirt.  I always add Epson Salt and Lime.  We don't use sprays to get weeds gone we use straw that we spread and its great to help with weeds.  It also will help the dirt when we plow it under.  I don't buy seeds with GM-O's either.  I try to  stay as natural as possible kind of like me I go around with no make-up all the time.  Any who its getting late and I have to leave early tomorrow morning so am passing on this easy recipe for you to follow and its very tasty indeed.

2 toasted pieces of bread
Mayo to spread on your toasted bread
1 tomato sliced
Salt & pepper to taste
Cheddar Cheese to top the tomatoes
Cooked Bacon is optional
Pork-n-beans are also optional

Toast the bread.  Spread your mayo on the bread.  Layer the tomatoes and salt & pepper your tomatoes.
top with cheddar cheese and bacon.  Place under your boiler until the cheese is nice and melted.  Serve hot. If you adding the beans place them on the bread first then add the tomatoes.  Bon'a Y'all.

Any who here come the blue lights behind us and I looked at her and said I hope he gives you a ticket because you didn't listen to me.  Get your permit out.She rolls down the window and smiles and says am so sorry officer did I do something wrong?  I rolled my eyes and said give her a ticket for not listening to me and terri smiles and says am on my way to get my drivers licence and the police man smiles back and say well you know the speed limit is 35 on this road and says am just going to give you a warning this time.  However you need to listen to your mom and good luck on your test.  She's still that way smiles and get a warning  I get a ticket but of coarse in my younger days I didn't get a ticket either  Any who I wish all the new drivers good luck out there in car land.  The pictures I have here are on baked squash but a post reminded me of Squash Fritters so am sending you a recipe for them.

Nothing says it better then Strawberry Cake for this summer of 2014

Hello to all my foodies friends out there in web land, hope all is well with you and yours this summer.  Am busy with getting over a very bad fall when I was running to help my weight and heart.  Am a clix my family calls me.  At my age they say I don't need to be running well am still healing and am getting better.  I guess I will have to stick to walking however my sister- in-law says my shoes were to big.  I caught my heal.  I was lucky but its been over three weeks and the wound on my hand is finagling getting well.  Any who then we went on vacation for about two weeks in Texas, went swimming but no fishing this year.  My arm wouldn't have worked anyway.  I got back home and I've been working hard on getting product made.  I've sold just about all I have bottles for now and that's a good thing.  We demoed   MadJon's Salsa the first time and sold out.  Then they did Me Me's Pasta Gravy and sold out.  This Thursday I'll be show casing Me Me's Cake Syrups along with the other products as well, so I'll see how that goes.  I sell the products from Washington DC to California and they are loving it they say.  I sell it to stores and ordinary Joe's like myself.  When I was filming for Cooking With MadJon & Friends I only had time to worry about that.  Then I catered a lot.  Wrote lots of recipes and I just didn't have time to work on products.  Now last year my products just started taking off with sales, phone ringing and I was getting orders.  So I now have time to get my ducks in a roll and work on one thing Products.   The man at score said I was like five different companies and that I needed to stick with working on just one!  Now I know what he meant.  Any who wish me luck will yea.  Well let's talk about Strawberry's.  Did you know that its the only fruit that carries its seeds on the outside and that it has over 200 seeds on the berry.  Go ahead and count it.  Ok, that's done.  Its been around for centuries and they think it got its name from putting the straw under the berries as it runs with arms like berries do.   Any who now is the time to enjoy them.  You can use fresh or frozen Strawberries on this cake.  I made it for a friends birthday and also am going to make it easy on you with using a boxed cake for the recipe.  Strawberry Cake :

Strawberry Cake:

1 Box Vanilla Cake
1 large Box Strawberry Jello, set aside 3 TBSP of Jello to use in frosting.
3 Eggs
1/3 cup Oil
1 cup Milk
1/2 cup blended fresh or frozen strawberry's plus 3 TBSP Strawberry's for icing

Mix all ingredients until well blended and pour mix into two greased round cake pans.  Bake in a pre-heated oven on 350 degrees until done. Cool before icing and remove cakes from pans.

Icing:
1 8 oz. Cream Cheese, softened
1 Stick softened Butter
1 TBSP Strawberry Jello
1 tsp. Vanilla
2 TBSP Strawberry's

Cream the butter and cheese until softened and mixed.  Slowly add the sugar and blend. Add Vanilla and strawberry jello to icing.  Mix until blended and thenthe milk to smooth the icing for frosting.  Now Ice the cake and enjoy my friend.

Happy Trail to you until we meet again.  Come like my fan page on face book at Cooking With MadJon & Friends. Come buy my products at Aiken Dry Goods and come taste the samples at the Farmers Market in downtown Aiken on Thursday evenings between 5-7 PM though the summer.  Bon'a Y'all.
